Dear Anti Corruption Commission,

I sincerely regret for not being able to make my annual asset declaration (for the calendar year 2011) I beg your pardon for this. I hope my negligence here wouldn't become any cause of national disaster. 

Well, to begin with, I am a mid class civil servant and I proudly declare that I work for Revenue and Customs. I work with an agency which many perceive as corrupt and crook. It’s very true and honest that we deal in money more than any other agencies combined. Therefore, I will not be surprised if, my department is being red flagged in your corruption susceptibility index. 

Without further adieu, I would like to state that, over a period of years, my asset declaration has been anything but a duplication of my earlier declaration. Except my five year old alto car, (which qualifies as asset) and my salary (that crosses little over one hundred thousand per Annam) I have basically nothing to declare. 

But to envy of many watchful eyes, I am officer who have bank accounts all over. Suspicious???? I have my account with Bank of Bhutan, Bhutan National Bank, Punjab National Bank and National Pension and Provident Fund. To be more honest and more lucid, let me also add that my wife has a bank account with T-Bank. But please don’t ask me why I have so many accounts all over? Find out for yourself. My citizen identity card number is 10104000496.

Moreover, at the moment, I am out of station. I am here in India pursuing my masters. Thanks to the Government of India. I am at least able to keep my pot boiling. But I feel very sorry with the economic condition of our country. I feel sorrier for the fact that I am also contributing to rupee shortage in our country. The marginal depletion in rupee balance caused by me is that I need more than what Government of India is giving me for my survival.

And to conclude, I would like to declare that Nikon D90 is my latest acquisition.(May 2011) Since I am deeply, madly and crazily in love with photography, I and my wife took an education loan of which 40% got diverted for this business. 

Finally, I have 3 daughters which I value over anything on this planet. For me, they are my invaluable assets. So I hereby declare that every information I have furnished are true to the best of my knowledge.
