There was flood everywhere. My car had to literally swim across the flooded road to reach me to my office! The timing couldn't have gotten any worse, especially for farmers who are busy harvesting paddy. As the sheafs got submerged in the muddy water, it sent hard work of many farmers down the drain.
Fortunately to the relief of many heart broken farmers, weather finally improved. On the third day, towards evening, the mist and fog slowly cleared up and gave way for a beautiful evening sunshine. To the delight of many tourist, we even had our first snow fall of the year (but on the high passes and on the far off mountains.)

The typhoon has caused wide-spread damages, particularly in rural areas. Luckily it was not as severe as predicted. I live in Bhubaneswar, the capital of Odisha. There was incessant rain and strong winds for 3 days. Electricity-supply was disconnected on the first 2 days to prevent accidents. Water-supply was disrupted. So were telephone and internet connection. It was a harrowing experience.
